Hi All, Further to the posting at meteorobserver.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=welcome&action=display&thread=47Does anyone else know of other groups / individuals who pioneered the use of video technology for meteor observations in the British Isles. Am thinking of documenting the history in a bit more detail so any thoughts / comments / anecdotes would be greatly appreciated Thanks in advance William

Just a short note to record that Jeff Lashley (at that time a member of Sunderland Astronomical Society) was using his image intensifier video for the Leonids in 1999 . Reported in JIMO articles.adsabs.harvard.edu//full/2000JIMO...28...69M/0000072.000.htmlJeff is now at the Space Centre @ Leicester & has a Springer book out on "The Radio Sky & how to Observe it"

Thanks Len - that's another name I wasn't aware of - will get in touch with Jeff to try to get some more background.
Great stuff!
