Hi, After a promising start it went downhill yet again. A few breaks in the early hours but very little activity recorded. 5 Orionids and 1 Sporadic. The weather is nice at the moment but with a fair covering of cirrus. Maybe tonight will be better. Bill.

Another good start to the evening but cloud encroached through the early morning. Caught two (non orionid) spectra but they are non recoverable, just too faint.

Good conditions last night for about 6 hours. Another couple of faint spectra but nothing significant. Anyone else pick up any activity? Bill.

Hi Bill,
I nabbed a few Orionids earlier in the month, but we've had very poor skies this week.
You're sending some clear and cold weather down to Yorkshire, so there will be some clear spells tonight, with a forecast for a long clear night on Friday.
Should also pick up some Taurids and Fireworkids. Good luck with the spectra.
Clear skies,
Alex.

Hi, Now analysing my October captures. Provisional results are that I nabbed 35 Orionids during the month and 19 Orionids on the night of Oct 20/21. I've attached a JPG of a nice -2 Orionid from that night. Clear skies, Alex. Attachments:
