File Sharing

Hi Bill,

Just wondering if this board had a repository to which files could be uploaded (similar to Yahoo Groups).

It wouldn't be for the the "look at my pretty picture" scenario that many other sites suffer from but for the exchange of useful raw data (images / videos / CSV files) that dual station observers may wish to share.

I appreciate that attachments can be made to messages (though not for some reason to private emails) but the filesize is limited and compressing videos too much to reduce their size can really compromise quality.

That is a good idea.
I think this particular board might have limitations as it is the basic free version.

It's possible that 'Dropbox'www.dropbox.com/ might serve for moving the sort of files etc envisaged .The video is a bit grating , sorry ;D .Here is the Wiki en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dropbox_(service). At the level of usage needed here it is probably a free service. Let's see what you all think.
