hello, Not a whiff of the Lyrids last night. Hazy/misty with lots of high cirrus. Only a few bright stars visible and not a single meteor in a couple of hours. I'm going back to bed.... Have a good holiday weekend. Cheers, Bill.

Hazy/misty here two in't Pennine hills . LM of +2 yesterday evening and visibilty under a 1/2 mile at 6 AM BST this morning . Sadly it is a sitting high pressure but I have seen a glimmer of hope from my weather station today in that the pressure is dropping now and the Cumulus software is coming up with Precipitation at times , very unsettled. No point running the video unit/s when the sky is as bad as it was last night . Just about to email Alex but I doubt that he has run either as his sky is just 17 miles NE from here.
