Hi, Just off the plane!, three perfect nights but not a single meteor (spectrum) capture! Saw some fine, bright sporadics but only a handfull of Eta Aquarids. They are indeed distinctive, swift leaving momentary trains. 5 of the 6 were 1st or 0 mag. It's a spooky place on your own but once you relax the silence is truly profound. I did get buzzed by a bat on every night for a spell. Sometimes a bit too close for comfort or so it seemed. Apart from the gorgeous skies a nice break in the sun. Twilight just coming on with the milky way and Venus close to the horizon. Cheers, Bill.

Hi Bill,
Very nice indeed ... sorry to hear you didn't get any spectra but a chance to relax under the stars is very hard to beat!
Pretty much clouded out in this part of the world :-(
Cheers
William
