Just off the plane!, three perfect nights but not a single meteor (spectrum) capture!
Saw some fine, bright sporadics but only a handfull of Eta Aquarids. They are indeed distinctive, swift leaving momentary trains. 5 of the 6 were 1st or 0 mag.
It's a spooky place on your own but once you relax the silence is truly profound.
I did get buzzed by a bat on every night for a spell. Sometimes a bit too close for comfort or so it seemed.
Apart from the gorgeous skies a nice break in the sun.
Twilight just coming on with the milky way and Venus close to the horizon.
