I've just bought a Watec 902H2 Supreme seconghand on EBay. When I set it up I discovered that the AGC had been set to Lo. I reset it to High to get the maximum sensitivity. The camera is unusable with this setting as I get very high levels of noise, which constantly trigger HandyAvi to start recoding unless I reduce the sensitivity to 60.
Before I got the Watec I was using a Samsung SDC-435 at 1/50 sec with AGC set to high and have been getting MUCH lower levels of noise. The Samsung SDC-435 with AGC on high appears to be a little bit more sensitive than the Watec with AGC set to low. Is this high noise normal or is my Watec 902 H2 Supreme faulty?

Comparison picture attached. Watec picture was taken about an hour earlier, so lighter Watec picture are partly due to lighter conditions and fact that cloud cleared by the time Samsung picture was taken. Attachments:
