Hi William, Did you have any success with the yahoo list?
I was interested to see several video shots in the latest BAA journal. So there are plenty of people using video now! John Mason replied to my last email to let me know he away lecturing in Iceland hence the delay.
Maybe it's me that's missed it! but, Len if you're reading, do you know if the BAA prints up video result summary's in a style akin to the IMO video network.
The weather this month has been remarkable!, I've had 13 nights so far although it's be the usual low spring time activity. I had a go using UFO analyser. With the way the profiles are constructed it really needs fixed cameras but on producing a profile for one night the results are fascinating and the sky graphics are pretty cool.
One thing that never ceases to amaze me is the number of cosmic ray strikes that CCTV camera's pick up once you start looking for them. I've been getting low single counts on meteors but 20+ cosmic rays each night. Usually they are just a pixel or two but occasionally one captures quite a complex signature.
You never know what you'll find with these things! Cheers, Bill.

Hi Bill , To date there has not been anything other than video 'activity' notes in the JBAA in recent times. The Metrec reports each month are a great 'output set' with common software twixt all the stations. Pity that at the moment the UFO Software and Metrec software results are not currently 'convertable' . I think that there is some work going on with the ESA Meteor Research Group on some conversion from UFO data to Metrec format.

Hi,
Thanks Len,
I had a large response to postings I put on both meteorobs and sonotaco forums about other UFO groups.
Fascinating to read the different aims and organisational styles.
cheers, Bill.

I think that there is some work going on with the ESA Meteor Research Group on some conversion from UFO data to Metrec format. Now that's interesting as I have data on the HDD going back to Oct 2010 ... have had a look at the ESA MRG webpage but I can't see any recent comments relating to conversion of UFO Data to Metrec format. Do you happen to know the latest on this project? Best regards William
