Hi, A really nice catch but now quite common with dslr images because they are so good! I'm not on that forum but if you are you could suggest a look at www.youtube.com/watch?v=nMHK6c-9IucA equally nice catch from Canada, or www.youtube.com/watch?v=gabVIJeIqdA&list=UULl2pBJ9qzheyFDplXGcF6wWhich was mine from 2012, nowhere near as spectacular but a different mesospheric flow pulling the persistent train away from the meteor flare point. There are actually three meteors in his images. The "debris" is the third meteor and the other being the conincident with the big one. Might even be a nice dual meteor. The other short lines look like satellite glints to me. cheers, Bill.
