100% clouded out in Leeds, unfortunately.
Chance of clearer skies on Christmas Eve morning through to Christmas Day evening.
Cheers,
Alex.

Hi, Too many social media portals Nothing visual here, as I said pee-ing down. 47mm in just over 24 hours to midnight yesterday and 12mm today so far. VERY wet! Anyway, yep had a look on the radio setup and quite a bit of activity, peak count was 00-01 hours this morning at 51 per hour. HOWEVER the issue is the detection threshold. There are oodles of small pings which are in all likelyhood meteors but don't get counted. I'll get round to doing a count after Christmas. Cheers, Bill.

Hi All, Hopefully everyone had a nice Christmas day.
I've just tallied up the radio meteor count from here.
22/12/14 21-22UT 18 (15) 22/12/14 22-23UT 29 (15) 22/12/14 23-00UT 35 (8) 23/12/14 00-01UT 51 (19) 23/12/14 01-02UT 28 (12)
The number in brackets is the average for the same hour over the preceeding three nights. After 02UT the counts are still in the 20's but so are the averages from the previous nights. So I don't know if that tells us anything really.
Also I've noticed a stronger "burst" of activity during the same hours but on the 24/25 Dec. Another tickle from something. Does anyone now the URL of the realtime CMOR data?
cheers, Bill.

Hi Bill, If you seach on "CMOR Meteor" the first couple of hits provide useful background. The link meteor.uwo.ca/research/radar/cmor_ops.html states that " Each day, automatically generated state of health data, plots and initial data summaries are produced and emailed to users." Not sure if CMOR publish their data real time and hence if there is a publically available URL - may be worth emailing Peter Brown and asking if you could be included on the emailed user list. I became aware of the outburst via a posting on the Spaceweather website on the 24th December 2014: www.spaceweather.com/archive.php?view=1&day=24&month=12&year=2014so I assume that if Peter Brown spots anything unusual then he alerts the Spaceweather team. Best regards William

Hi,
My cameras recorded up to 4 or 5 Ursids per night before Christmas, unfortunately the nights of Dec 21/22 and 22/23 were clouded out.
Cheers,
Alex.
